There are quite a few more teams I like in the N.L. Probably because they aren't the Royals foils.
1. Atlanta Braves- Anyone with basic cable in the 80's knows they're America's Team
2. Pittsburgh Pirates- Back in 91-92 I honestly wanted both the Braves and the Pirates to win the NLCS, either way I'd be happy
3. San Diego Padres- I've adopted them, I work in San Diego.
4. San Francisco Giants- Kevin Mitchell, Will Clark, man the 80's were awesome
5. Cincinnati Reds- I thoroughly enjoyed last weekend's series with the Royals
6. Houston Astros- Nolan Ryan hooked me on the stros, their current uniforms suck balls, bring back the orange rainbows!
7. Washington Nationals- I always loved the Expos and they'd be 2 or 3 spots higher if they were still in Montreal

8. Colorado Rockies- Nothing strikes fear into the hearts of grown men like purple uniforms
9. Arizona Diamondbacks- Good thing they're no longer purple, their stadium is god awful
10. Philadelphia Phillies- I'd rather just watch the fanatic fuck with Tommy Lasorda
11. Milwaukee Brewers- N matter what league they're in, I'd hate them equally. Garbage ballpark, too
12. Chicago Cubs- If Harry Carey were still around, I'd rank them 4 or 5, but now, the lovable loser gimmick is tired and old
13. Florida Marlins- Hey Kobe, how's my ass taste? Contract them.
14. LA Dodgers- Granted Kirk Gibson gave the world one of the best world series moments of all time, but I'd rather walk in Harlem with a "I hate niggers" sign than be in Chavez Ravine after dark
15. St Louis Cardinals- Someday I'll find one of those "Mark Mcgwire replica hall of fame plaques" the birds made at a salvation army somewhere.
16. New York Mets- I would have ranked them 11 or 12 last year, but signing that ego-maniac K-Rod, made them last on my list. Yes, I hate him that much. I'd risk jail time to punch that fucker squaw in the nutz.

The kid is 17 and the Pirates are on their way to the 17th consecutive losing season... I understand his confusion. People look at me weird too when I tell them I like the Pirates.
Never in my LIFE have I heard of someone longing for those ugly ass 'Stros uniforms!

What?!? The St. Louis Cardinals didn't make 16? Don't forget the pompous, pretentious east-coast dislocated Card fans that the Royal loyalists have to deal with every year.
I'm so sick of hearing the bitching about 1985's worst call of the century at first base or the expectation that Royals fans should concede that they will always suck and just root for "the only good team in Missouri" or that the Cardinals have 9 more World series titles. Give me a friggin' brake! They've been around for 117 years! Give the Royals another 70 years, will ya, friggin' jerks.
